Reconnect: A Typical Morning at the Cabin

Yesterday I returned from a frontcountry camping vacation in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I did quite a bit of hiking (almost 30k between trails in Tahquamenon Falls State Park and Pictured Rocks National Park) and some sightseeing along the shore of Superior. I was grateful to experience the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, where the original bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald is lovingly preserved and displayed. Coming back to the flat fields and openness of rural southwestern Ontario after spending almost a week in such a beautiful woodland area is always hard, and much like my time in the Algonquin area, I can definitely feel that life moves at a more relaxed and purposeful pace there, which always resonates in my soul. Your videos and content are such a wonderful escape for me, Shawn, and I definitely live vicariously through them in between my adventures as they help take me back to those beautiful moments every time. So I thank you tremendously for the work you put into providing them to us. Take care.
